Utter Bastard Rally
1st - 3rd May 2026

formerly known as the Brit Butt Rally

Probably the toughest motorcycle rally in Great Britain

The 2026 Utter Bastard Rally is a 36 hrs rally which will see you riding the depth and breadth of Great Britain. It is probably our greatest rally and follows the same basic rules as the 11 day 11,000 mile Iron Butt Rally in the USA.

A rally whereby novices can have a good time, and also be a Finisher, or if you want to just have a great ride to some interesting places, you will certainly be able do that, but if you want to be an actual contender, you might just find yourself throwing a few curses my way during the course of the 36 hours. It's a bit of a balancing act, and I won't know whether I've got it right until it's all over.

The rally headquarters will be in the Midlands. On the Friday afternoon there will be a series of check in procedures before the evening start banquet where you will be given a rally book containing all the information for you to plan your route and collect bonus points by photographing landmarks and email claims to the scorers.

Saturday morning riders congregate in the carpark for a final briefing before setting off at 0630 hrs

There is a sleep bonus on Saturday night that will have many not to be missed points.

Sunday return to the start before 1830 hrs to be classed as a finisher.

At the finishers banquet all finishers get a certificate of recognition with trophies for the top three finishers.

There will then be much storytelling and socialising in the bar to round off the weekend.

The £90 entry fee includes a commemorative Tee Shirt, goodie bag and the start and end banquets.

The full 2026 rally rules are available here, read them!

Please note:  Safety is paramount. This is NOT a race and we do not condone speeding or reckless riding. It is all about planning an efficient route and then riding your planned route in order to return safe and sound. Ride as far as you feel capable of, the main emphasis is fun on two wheels (or three).
